7th of September
Two matches remain; 14th Setember, President's Match at 12.30 and the Hockwold Cup on the 20th. Both matches are at Gooderstone.
On Thursday the 11th at 7.00pm a meeting will take place at the Swan to discuss the future of the club. This is not the AGM but is open to all, especially the Committee. If you want to have a say in how many competitions we enter next season and the whole direction of the club you should attend. Many changes are afoot both in the league structure and within our own club, this is your opportunity to have an input.
30th August 2008
The Saturday league finished on a high for the club with both teams winning their final games convincingly.
The 1st XI it their highest total of the season amassing 231-7, recovering from 58-5 with a Gooderstone and WN League best 6th wicket partnership of 148 (to be confirmed!) between Kevin Bandy & Gordon Mitcheson-Smith.
Bando bludgeoned 9 (nine) sixes on his way to an unbeaten 109, and went on to take a catch and two wickets in a MoM performance
The youthful Sheringham team was bundled out for 145, with the 1st XI winning by 86 runs.
For the 2nd XI a match winning 7-25 off 12 overs from Neil Farrow saw Beeston skittled out for 55, and Andrew Merton used all his experience to guide the team to victory with an unbeaten 27. Neil's figures were the best bowling figures in all games for Gooderstone this year.
Dick Chalkley held onto his catches well and Rob Crockford bought all his best team experience to the game. Adam Evans showed how much he has matured as a batter with a patience 5* on a very unpredictable strip.
Photos of both Gooderstone teams are in the gallery.

Many congratulations to Craig Peters who has won the bowling trophy for the best match figures in 2007. His 8 for 24 against Dereham B was a great performance that not only put Gooderstone A into a match winning positon but effectively ended Dereham's campaign to win the division.
